As we near the celebration of this country's independence, we heard the fire in the sky by none other than Jay-Z. I admit to be a fan of Jigga but, I'm a "Reasonable Doubt", "Hard Knock Life", and lets not forget "Black Album", type of fan. I don't necessarily ride the band wagon if you know what I'm saying. With this new track on the other hand credit must be given. To be quite honest, out of all the rappers out there I would have never guessed that Jay would be the slayer of the now infamous Auto-tune. It's a funny thing how it's always been around, but didn't hit the obsession level until T-Pain made it sound so good, followed by the risqué release of "808's and Heartbreak". Kanye dropped that album with impeccable timing. Now as Mr. S. Carter has taken the proverbial gloves off of hip hop, I wonder who will come out to defend the crutch, otherwise known as Auto-tune .. "la da da .. da ... hey ... hey hey ... goodbye"
