Why is it that whenever graffiti is brought into the mainstream forefront there is always some politician that has a problem with it. Even abstract art from way back in Picasso's day was seen this way until somebody saw it as true art. Artist Saber decided to produce his take on the American flag; designing atop the stars and stripes, Saber created a series of flag murals, each unique, with designs based on what The United States means to him as well as things unrelated, that are nevertheless personal to him. The flag series was captured on video and became a finalist in a state wide campaign for health care reform, a project much supported by Saber and many other artist as well. Print versions of the flag were available to purchase here, but all may be sold out already. Check out this video for further information on the whole project entitled: "Flag, 2010".
