Eminem and ASHer Roth

"The Tale of the Two Cities"

Eminem and ASHer Roth. The only thing I feel that could be compared between the two is that, a) there both lyricist, b) they both have a very uniquely similar flow and sound, and c) they are clearly both white. Now the question is: do they really have the same type of subject matter? .. One could argue that one all day. I'll be the first to admit that Eminem has been one of my favorite rappers for a long time. For me Roth came out at a time when Em was still on hiatus so to speak. When his mixtape "The Greenhouse Effect" first hit the internet, the blogs and message boards were buzzing about who this ASHer Roth guy was. Comment after comment praised his rhyme skill, but almost every one mentioned Em in one way or another. Now with the release of the "Relapse" albums on the horizon ready to drop in May, Will ASHer be able to prove himself as more then just the Eminem stand in that people perceive him as? Is ASHer Roth relevant now that Em is back? .. I guess we'll have to wait and see ..
